Working together as a team,
we will create your custom project that
will be both stylish and efficient and one you
will enjoy for many years to come.
Function always comes first
The most beautifully appointed rooms quickly become less so if the layout doesn’t function for the way you live in it. A good designer will ask you to spend a considerable amount of time discussing how you plan to use your space.
Adjacent rooms always need to be considered
There are often hidden spaces that can be incorporated to meet your “wish list”. Visiting with you at your home at the very start of conceptual design is critical to finding the best design solution for your needs.
Coordination is key
It’s fairly easy to find cabinetry, countertops and backsplash materials for your kitchen. But don’t forget: sinks, faucets, appliances specialized storage (wine, cookbooks, cookie sheets, cutting boards), small appliance storage, condiment and spice storage, dishes, glassware, pots, pans.
Bathrooms require lots of decisions, too: sinks, toilets, shower systems, tubs, flooring, storage solutions, towel racks, safety accessories. How do you coordinate the selection of, and timely delivery for all these pieces?
The dirty work
Who will do the installation? Any construction required? We can work with your contractor, or I can recommend one and help assemble your team.
Light it up
Don’t forget lighting design. You need ambient, accent and task lighting to make your room sparkle and safe.
It’s all in the details
And, the job isn’t complete without the decorator touches…a color scheme, paint and wallpaper, accessories. What about furniture? Tables and chairs? Counter stools? Flooring? Windows and window treatments?
